I'm Sam. That's what I look like when I'm posing for a picture with my sisters and then cropped them out. Self portraits are awkward. I'm writing this blog because I like writing and have a love/hate/inconsistent relationship with my journal. I'm a certified public accountant, I'll pause for your obligatory groan, but do know that many have told me they'd never guess that to be my profession. Cheers! That's kind of my thing - I like math enough, I'm very analytical, but I also consider myself to be crafty, imaginative, and creative. I want to be remembered for both. Now we're getting a little too heavy for this diddy.
This is my outlet, so it covers anything from baubles with which I've fallen in love, adventures, travels, and crafty things. The mix depends on the season, literally. I've got some pretty awesome people in my life, and they'll pop in here sometimes, too.
Does that cover it? No. I'm an Aries. I use that as an excuse to explain my stubbornness. I eat tomatoes like they're apples and I've been known to have a spoonful of sugar if I hadn't had anything else sweet that day. I'm trying to rationalize Zoya nail polish sales by painting my nails more regularly. I love animals, but I'm allergic to most. I have unusually large feet and hands for my height (I'm 5-foot-4 and 3/4-inches with size 10.5 to 11 feet, and I don't know how to measure hands). I perch on the arms of couches more often than sitting on the cushions. I believe in big hair and big sunglasses. I started being a vegetarian when I was 9 and I have no idea why. We think it might have been a bad hamburger. I cannot quote movies with you to save my life, but it's not for lack of trying. I'm from Pittsburgh, studied at Ohio State, lived in Washington, DC, for three years and loved it, and am now living outside of Cleveland with my fiance, our new house, and my furry niece and nephew.
So hang out a bit, yeah? And thanks for stopping by! I think we could be great pals.
Note: Some posts on this blog contain Amazon affiliate links. I receive a small commission on purchases made through these links. I'm not paid to recommend or link items. I'm linking and will only link things that I've bought, used, and want to share the good and the bad with you. This is partly because I always want to know specifics when I'm reading posts, and partly because the small compensation helps to support my crafting budget. If you don't feel comfortable purchasing through the link, you can open a new window and search for the item independently.
