Picture This: Week 20, 2017.

Obligatory prelude: I've done a picture-a-day project for the past few years. Per usual, I debated the continuation of this series, but do appreciate the motivation to capture the ordinary and the connection it provides. It's obviously continuing another week, or until I decided to wrap it up.

Even a few hours in Columbus require a stop for doughnuts.

May 9, 2017

Grouted and completed.

May 10, 2017

Sweet furbie dreams.

May 11, 2017

After flight cancellations, rescheduling, and working until midnight, we landed in Myrtle and made it to the beach.

Celebrating one of my favorites.

May 1, 2017

Not my own picture, but a picture a friend took in Pittsburgh.  I love the colors and the angle.  It makes me happy to have lived in Pittsburgh, to know this angle.

May 2, 2017

When Copper's in need of serious snuggles, I throw on my hoodie and become a marsupial.

May 3, 2017

Another aid in Copper's anxiety: thunder shirt.

May 4, 2017

Completed tile setting!

May 5, 2017

Boys lounging.

May 6, 2017

My first ice cream attempt! It was intimidating, I followed a "healthy" recipe, but it was good. Now to try recipes with milk and sugar instead of cashews.

May 7, 2017

Sunday run day on the towpath in the national park.

April 24, 2017

A nearly symmetrical top knot with wispy horns felt important enough to document.

April 25, 2017

Henry lost a pound since the first of year.  I'm so proud and happy for this girl, though really it all has to do with our monitoring her food.  Maybe that makes me proud of us.  Still, I hope to continue the trend and to continue to see her energy and activity increase.

April 26, 2017

Little hellions.

April 27, 2017

Scandal and headstand practice.

April 28, 2017

Copper's back to his old habit of waking us up all night.  It started at 3am last night.  Then I see this picture where he's so sweet - it's hard to stay mad at these furbs.

April 29, 2017

Saturday musical with some of our favorites.

April 30, 2017

I spent most of the day learning to tile and stressing about tile.  I did five rows and only cried once, a little bit.  I'm halfway complete on the bar area; only the entire bathroom to complete next.

April 17, 2017

Henry dishing her daily dose of sass.

April 18, 2017

A little garden snake, and Copper's impression of a snake.

April 19, 2017

Copper destroyed Henry's carrier, and her upgrade unintentionally complimented her baby blues.  Henry was so excited, popping in and out of her new carrier.

April 20, 2017

Cookies.

April 21, 2017

One of my parent's cats, Fossil.  He may look like he was going to help me sleep before the half marathon the next morning, but you shouldn't trust those permanently hooded eyes.

April 22, 2017

Very proud of us all on all of our first half marathons! Apart from the dogs - they didn't run a half marathon.

April 23, 2017

 Dahlia, being the model pup.

April 12, 2017

Sunshine has elevated their moods one thousand percent.

April 13, 2017

With the turn of spring, all I want is dips and margs - which are somehow not pictured.

April 14, 2017

Sleepy little grump.

April 15, 2017

Ice cream and the curious, creepy offering of a plastic bunny head to accompany.

April 3, 2017

Copper developed a limp - seemingly out of nowhere - and was finally convinced to stop hopping onto beds with the lure of the t-shirt blanket.

April 4, 2017

Evening runs on the National Mall.

April 5, 2017

I turn into a super concentrated version of myself while traveling: yoga mat next to the bed, next to my daily iron and Vitamin D, next to whatever book I'm reading.  Without expecting to, I'm really enjoying 10% Happier by Dan Harris.  This is the book that's going to get me to really give meditation a shot.

April 6, 2017

The second bed is for outfit planning when traveling - and fun underwear (pandas!) is an important part.

April 7, 2017

I'm very impressed with my coworker's culinary skills.

April 8, 2017

Garden shop elephant.

April 9, 2017

We had crazy winds, thunderstorms and tornado warnings several weeks ago.  My friend always wrings her hangs over the pine trees within 500 feet of my house, talking of their shallow roots and high winds.  Lo and behold, it happened to my neighbor.  We didn't hear it - or if we did, didn't connect it - but for the past couple weeks, this tall pine has been leaning, roots pulled out, and I'm waiting for anything to happen.

March 27, 2017

A hand from God reaching down through the ceiling.  Monty Python in real life.

March 28, 2017

Basement progresspicked up in the beginning of the week.  Mum and I white-washed the bar, trying our best to make it look like an abandoned building and muting the red tones.  Next up: tiling behind the bar!

March 29, 2017

Lemon tree! I love it so, and am so worried I could kill it.

March 30, 2017

Sweet siblings consoling each other after their canine cousins left.

March 31, 2017

Light! Light! Six lights in the kitchen! You can actually see what's happening in there! As well as all the patching to be done up there.

April 1, 2017

Birthday spoils.

April 2, 2017

Birthday art is up - the second food related gift this week, both related to my favorite foods: ice cream and pizza.
