T-shirt Blanket.

I'm debating over the spelling of t-shirt. Tee shirt? t-shirt? T-shirt? T-Shirt? So, if we can agree to disagree, or at least agree that I don't understand the origin or how to spell tee shirt, we'll continue.

Behold! My first T-shirt blanket! This one is of my shirts, and is a hodge-podge of shirts. It could be so much bigger, but I have a compulsive eradicating gene from my mother, and then routinely go through shirts and donate them. So I'm bummed that none of my soccer shirts are in the blanket. Alas, I have a twin-sized blanket that smells like me (in a good way!) and I can tell a story with.

Since this first blanket, I've made one for my boyfriend, a huge one for my boyfriend's brother, one for my former boss, and I have helped on my sister's and one for my sister's friend. I'm about to start another for my sister (shhh - secrets)!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie
Recipe from Nestle Classic Recipes
1 unbaked 9-inch shell
2 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped pecans
Serve with ice cream (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Beat eggs in large mixer bowl on high until foamy.
3. Beat in flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in butter.
4. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts and spoon into pie shell.
5. Bake for 55-60 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm.

I could have eaten it then, unbaked.

The verdict: My dad and I find it too chocolatey. Granted, I did not add pecans because my youngest sister was helping and does not like them. My family has never shied away from adding extra chocolate chips to recipes, but in this case, I think it was overkill. We added the entire 12 oz bag of chocolate chips, thinking that it was just like substituting more chocolate chips for the pecans. My dad said it was like eating a big chocolate chip. The vanilla ice cream on the side helped.

See? Maybe too chocolate-y.
